I had the exact problem with my truck.... it ended up being a dry bearing cap in the u-joint. It only happened at around 100km/hr before that it wasn't there and after that it wasn't there.
I know the u-joints are new but I'd give them a check anyways. You could have also tightened the straps too much and bent the cup out of round which will cause a nasty vibration too.
Mine went away when I had the new tranny & TC put in. Smooth as all heck now..I hope yours is a easier fix. I had chunks of metal in the tranny pan when I changed the oil and they progressivley had gotten bigger as the vibration did. I think the TC was also out of balance.
It is possible that I got excited and over tightened a cap bolt:rolleyes: The wife says I don't know my own strength...
