I'm considering installing a GMPP ZZ 383 turn key in my '77. I already have a Tremec 600 5 spd to tie it to. There are two versions of the 383, 405 HP and 425 hp. I believe the 405 uses the lower profile dual plane intake, which is what I would opt for. Anyone aware of any clearance issues? My engine choices have come down to either the 383or GMPP Ram Jet EFI. I think the Ram Jet adds some complications the 383 doesn't. Any comments concerning the way I'm thinking? Anyone with experience with the 405 hp 383?
