Default How much would it cost to port 186 heads?

I have a 69 vette with an L-46. There is an unknown cam in there. A 4brl holley double pumper, hooker headers, strip dominator intake, and I'm hoping to put so new pistons. I'm wondering if I should port my 186 heads or get a new pair of heads. I also would like to know the price to port 186 heads. I know that 186 heads don't have much flow. If you could help me out it would be great!

I would sell the heads and put money towards something around 180cc like from Dart. Because you can put $1000 dollars into 186 casting heads and still end up with an inferior end product

Take an extra $500, slam on a set of nice aluminum heads and don't look back.

You can paint em to look stockish too, if you're worried.

Talked with a machine shop a while back about doing mine. For 500 bucks I get 2.02/1.94 valves new springs/rockers. Checked for cracks. Screw in studs. NOT the ones you usually see, but the pressed in ones come out, drill and tap the hole and install a stock looking stud. Gasket kit included.
