Default wiper motor wires

I recently bought a new engine wiring harness for my '76, along with a new wiper motor. i found the plug for the wiper motor and the ground wire. but im comfused about the randome wires sticking out to the motor....
i cant seem to figure it out, since my last harness was cut and spliced so bad.
can anyone post a picture or school me of the correct wiring?

I have a 73 and had a bit of the same problem as mine was taken apart by someone else. There should be two wires going to the top that is Your washer pump, it doesn't mater which way they go as it is just a coil to activate pump. Im not sure if Yours will have more connections as it is a 76 but this may help.

Tim the 76 "might" not have the washer pump on the motor , not 100% sure though.

digger...what wires do you have that you think go to the wiper ? 2 blacks , 1 yellow and a lt blue ? Are they without connectors , just cut wires ?

there is a pink/white wire, with a red wire. coming out of the motor.,
i already connected the plug. but these two wires are bugging me.
mine does not have the washer pump on the motor. the pump is in the resiorvor along the inside of the fender.

also i havent tried the motor yet because the wires on the switch end have also been cut.
so im trying to figure that out as well.
im trying to up load a pic but my internet is too slow!

I'm going to have to get a diaram out and maybe go look at the Willcox site.
There is a pink/white in that area that goes to the backup switch on a 4 speed car.
The red coming from the motor is usually on 68-72 and then on cars with delay wipers.
I'll be back.

Maybe I'm thinking wrong. Click on this link and look and see if your red and pink/white is the same as the black/pink and black wires coming out of the motor in the pic.

OK Just for the record..... I figured it out.
the yellow, black and Blue wires comming off the harness are:
Blue-ground (lowspeed) ((top))
Yellow-power ((middle))
Black- ground (Highspeed) ((bottom))

on my '76 there is a pink/black wire comming out of the front of the wiper motor
and a Red wire comming from somewhere behind the wiper motor

i connected the pink/black wire and the Red wire together and that brought the wipers back to the start position.
why they dident just wire them together at the factory is beyond me.
the washer pump plug is closer to the firewall on the left side. that is working as well. i beleive they are blue wires .

all works well now. hope this thread helps anyone in the future!

thanks for all yalls help!
