Zip and Ecklers are both reputable places..right? Zip's rear spring is $10 more than Ecklers and the same for their poly bushings. $39 at zip.. 29 at Ecklers. Could there be a differnce in quality? Or is Zip just more expensive?
Thoughts?
Don't forget "shipping and handling". A lot of "low-cost" vendors make up for their low product prices with high shipping and handling costs. In answer to your question, they probably both buy them from the same manufacturer. I'd be interested in a net cost comparison, with all S&H, etc. added in. See who's the cheapest then.
P.S. I believe a lot of the Eckler's suspension parts are from Vette Brakes and Products here in St. Petersburg, FL (the pictures are from the VB&P catalog). I've also seen the same VB&P pictures in other Vette catalogs. You can go directly to their site: http://www.vettebrakes.com/
I'd be suprised if there's any difference. But I usally find the cheapest price I can find, send the link to Ecklers, and then they come down to at least 1% lower as the front of their catalogue says. I do this, because I don't want to have to order one piece from here, and one from there kinda thing...keeps shipping down. The negative part, is hunting for who has the cheapest price. Too bad Summit or Jegs (or someone like them) wasn't doing corvette parts.
