I know somebody that tried to sell a 78 Pace Car with 6850 original miles at a Kruse Auction. The reserve of $17000 was not met... The car only went to $15100.
I think thats a hell of a good deal... you could treat that thing like buying a new car.
What other "new" sports car are you going to get with those features for about that price.... I tell you what, somebody give me a pile of money for the car in sig below and I will make a bid on that car - serious.
Some may say that it's one of those cars that are cursed by being so old but having such low mileage... you know, every mile you put on it just takes away from its museum quality. Who cares... The Corvette Museum probably has one with less mileage than that! Buy it and drive it like a new car that it is (sort-0f)
I have seen worse. I think it was a '78 pace car with only like 8 miles on it. It was for sale for OVER 100,000. Not sure if a buyer was ever located or not. I'm guessing they were just as rare as the car.
What kills me is that is COSTS MONEY to post these things on Ebay. Jesus, if you're going charge $32K for a car, at least spend the time to post some freaking pictures up. Or maybe a description that says more than "8 miles".
People like this give e-bay a bad name. Who the hell does he think is going to bid on this.

Carl, just in case you didn't know, rubber still dry rots in 25 years... whether the car gets driven or not.. plus there is the whole host of other issues, seals, internal rust, etc depending on storage conditions...
I read an article in Corvette Fever about a pace care that only had 4 miles on it. The owner bought and stored it away. Complete with all the wrappings on it. Even the decals were never installed. If I recall, he then sold it to who ever. Wonder if it's the same Pace Car?
So with all those dried out seals and gaskets it needs more work than one with 80K on the clock. If i ever win the lotto I'm going to go get me one of these ultra low mileage cars people never drove and as I leave with the car I'll be smokin' the tires, fishtailing down the street. :D It'd be priceless to see the look on their face.

 LOL I can see it now
1978 Pace Car with L-82 and 4-speed: $ 100,000
Can of gasoline: $ 5.00
Smoking the tires and getting it side ways as you leave the lot, just to see the looks on their faces: PRICELESS!!
