I have a 77 corvette and the speedometer is not working. 1.I replaced the lower cable because the metal rod broke off on the transmission
side but it still didn't work. 2. So, I pulled the plastic gear out of the tranny and it wasn't missing any teeth and it looked in good condition. 3. Then I tried spinning the speedometer with a drill ,which didn't work. I was wondering if there's way to isolate the problem before having to take apart the dash board? The other problem is my cruise control isn't working and I was thinking if it might be related to the transducer. I'm not sure if both problems are related or not? Thanks for your help. Wayne
You had posted your question in the Help section, which is used for Help with the website itself (forum issues, account issues, website issues, etc.).
You will receive a better response if you post Corvette technical questions in the appropriate Corvette section. In your case, you would want the C3 Tech section.
I've moved your thread to the appropriate Corvette section.
