Got the car on four jack stands and started the engine after adding "seafoam" in the oil and the gas. I know this question are probably in the forum but the search mode was not liking me: My apologies for any duplication.
What's the recommended oil, viscosity, stand oil or MB 1 or AmsOil type oil for eng..
any oil with sae logo is good oil, 5w-30 i think is stock recomendation, most run 10w-30. i run rotella t 15-40 because of the amount of $ i have in my engine, give me piece of mind
trans, assuming you have auto, dex1-5, or can use dex 6 witch is synthetic.
not 100% sure on diff, 75-90 or 80-90.
you dont need synthetics, most people say its waste of money, and hearing that alot lately about amzoil. but everyone is different.
I would suggest Mobil 1 15-50, as it has a high level of zinc and phosphorus that flat tappet engines require. (read about flat tappet oils in the sticky on the forum)
Tranny fluid, whatever brand of Dextron III will be fine.
Rear diff, I would suggest the GM factory fluid, and a posi-additive. You can get it at a GM dealer or online.
