Default '74 bumper removed

I just removed the inner bumper on my '74 along with the vacuum tank and brackets. Total weight 75lbs!!! I think this is a lot of useless weight hanging forward the wheels if you don't plan on smashing into things.

Between losing the spare tire and removing the bumper the car is getting lighter.

Those things are heavy. Why not use aluminum to make the tank? Do you still have Vacuum powered headlights?

I don't plan on hitting anything and fell confident the engine gives me more protection the my buddy has on his crotch rocket. I will offer him the bumper, he needs it more.

I have the lights hooked directly to vacuum with no tank. They only work when car is running

You are possibly mistaken. You may escape serious injury when the time comes, but you're going to lose the entire front.

The 75 pounds you removed was crash protection.
