I am searching for an exhaust system that I can bolt on my self that doesn't require any cutting or special fitting. Corvette Central has a system that comes with patriot headers and true dual straight pipes connecting to magnaflow mufflers -- anyone have experience with this or recommendations?
I'd be interested to see what's out there. My 77 has brand new mufflers and tip's. But has the old Y pipe into one cat. Looking to get the exhaust pipes to run from original manifolds straight back to my mufflers.
I just put the Corvette Central dual exhaust on my '79 and I was able to install it easily to the existing manifolds. Getting the old rusted bolts off was the most difficult. I like the system and the sound, it's not very loud until you really hit it. Also, my wife commented it is cooler in the car since I put the new exhaust on. I know the catalytic converter under her seat kept it pretty warm.
