Default Brake Problem

Bleeding out the brakes on a 72. Front calipers are done and they work fine. Rear calipers however don't engage and lock up yet fluid is all the way to the bleed out on the caliper. Air bubbles continue to leak out of the rear brake reservoir on the master cylinder when continue bleeding; there seems to be no leaking at fitting connections. Have the calipers apart and am going to change the seals and o-rings, wondering if there is anything else that may be the problem that I am overlooking.

If air is coming out in master cylinder, then it has to be bled out. Air in the master cylinder has to go through a bench bleed to get all air out. It can be done in car but the lines have to be removed from MC and plastic lines connected and fed back into the brake fluid deep enough as to not suck any air back in. Then slowly pump away until no more air can be found. Reconnect lines and rebleed system.

(I personally do the bench bleed in the vice. I'm not 100% convinced the on the car method is as thorough and safe as the vice method.)
