Hooker side pipes and rocker covers
It looks like when I install my new JCL sidepipes, I'll have an interference problem with the stock rocker covers. I suppose I could chop them up and make them fit but they're in great shape and I hate to do that. Are there other options available to give a "finished" look to that area just above the pipes ?

John. Won't be a problem with your rockers for that reason, but you will probably have to TRIM around the area where the primary tubes turn into the collector. The drivers side on mine went right on no problem. The passanger side needed minimal ARCHING to fit. Wasn't going to trim, but it's really a small area. Others I've heard had to really take a chunk out. Depends. That back Z bracket I send really gives you more clearence, plus there's no PINCH bolt to trim around for on the collector end of the sidepipe. If you don't want to trim them at all, I have another solution if needed. Piece of cake !! JCL :cool: :cool: :chevy "Sidepipes are the way"
