Default upgrade a/c while converting my LS1?

I have 80' vette and doing an LS1/4L60 conversion. My stock A/C system worked but had a leak somewhere. Should have taken it to the shop to find the leak before I started this conversion. Anyways, is there a upgrade setup for the vette for the A/C system? What has to be done so I can keep A/C with my LS1 setup? I am reading and reading forum posts and going through the 100+ pages on the LS1 sticky but have not found my answer yet....

Any ideas?

I went with a Vintage Air setup on my 68 LS1 swap. They dont make a direct fit for 77 and up vehicles, but I think that's because they dont have a control panel that looks stock. I would think a generic fan, temp, vent control panel would work.
You could keep the original R4 style compressor with a serpentine pulley. I think "Superpowers" sells the R4 compressor bracket for LS motors.

Yep, I found that mount for 315 then would have to buy a compressor. Well worth the money living in Texas. Might get away with it since its winter for a few months.

What is sad I have been reading that long long long ls1 post and found the answer after you replied to this post lol.

Thanks for the reply!

I've got about $100 total in my AC and alternator mounts. Not that hard to make, you just need it solid and aligned well. Kwik Performance also makes a similar bracket for the Sanden compressor.
