Gas tank woes
Help me please. I need to disconnect the return line from near the top of my tank on the passenger side. The stupid 30 year old hose clamp is rusted in place. It will rotate, just not pull off. I tried using a screwdriver and a socket but because of the rust, they both just slip. Does anyone know of a way to get this stupd thing off without dropping the tank? I was thinking of taking a knife reaching up there, and trying to cut the hose off. I don't know if this will help, though.

Can you get a pair of dikes (wire cutters) up there? That might cut the clamp. I wouldn't cut the hose (only as a last resort) because you still won't be able to get it off. Might try a Dremmel tool but with gas please be careful of sparks. I need to do this also because I need to change the rubber hose soon. How are you getting to this hose......i.e. from where?????
