I've been reading the service manual on headlamp panel adjustment and I must admit, I not sure I understand what does what. Any simple tips before I start tinkering this weekend.
Specifically:
1. What stops the light in the open position?
2. Has anyone used the rebuild kit from Zip?
Re: How do you adjust the headlights? (74-Roadster)
1. What stops the light in the open position?
Directly in the center of your linkage there will be a bolt going through the linkage whitch stops the light. Once you pull off your bezels, move your lights up and down once with your hand... the bolt I'm speaking of will be easy to spot.
Sorry I dont have a pic of it... I took 60 some pics when I did my headlight rebuild but failed to capture a clear shot of that bolt!!!
You can take a look at the pics here http://community.webshots.com/user/mikesvette2 they are on page two.
