Guys I'm going to pull the cam this weekend and was wondering if someone could give me some numbers on what the stock cam should measure as far as lobe diameters and lift. And how much wear is too much to reuse it. Thanks in advance..you guys are great.
If it's a stock cam and you went to all the trouble of pulling it out. It's allot easier to put the cam in the dumpster where it belongs. :yesnod:
Actually most manuals have some pictures about what the cam lobe faces should look like for normal ware patterns. any cam with ware/blueing/obvious lobe rounding - Dumpster time. IMO never reuse H-lifters. Even if you keep all of them in order and put them back in the exact holes you asking for problems in any motor that does any kind of performance rpm.
