Yes, a lot of people, and I also, have installed the General Motors Performance Part Catalog Serpentine system on a ZZ4 and then installed the complete system in a C3.

It works out great. There's perhaps half dozen issues to work out but they are all easy to deal with.

Do a search you'll find a lot of detailed posts. Here's a thumbnail sketch of some (all?) of the issues:
1) The idler pulley interferes with the passengers side control arm tower. Solution: Install the pulley bracket upside down.
2) If you buy the Serpentine kit with the accessories (economically a real good deal), the power steering pump will have a metric o-ring high pressure outlet. Solution: Buy a metric to english adapter from a shop that works with the Saginaw PS pumps. $7.50
3) You'll have to gin up a upper radiator hose adaption to get the hose over the Serpentine belt. Solution: I used one of those corregated bendable metal hoses with a Billet Specialties thermostate housing that allowed the metal hose to securely mount over the belt.
4) The Serpentine Belt system has a reverse rotation water pump. You need a reverse rotation mechanical fan. Best solution is to install an electric fan. Also, the Serpentine Belt system supplies you with a cast iron reverse rotation pump. Replace it with a lightweight Edelbrock reverse rotation pump.
5) You need a 69, 70 LT1 throttle bracket to mate the throttle cable to the ZZ4 Holley. These brackets are hard to find and can be $$$$ since they are a LT1 part. You'll need to buy an aftermarket throttle cable bracket if you can't find the LT1 part.
6) To get the ZZ4/Holley to fit under the stock SB hood, you'll need at least a drop base lower air filter lid. I bought a drop base Morosco drop base air filter for $30...used the lower lid and the upper stock steel lid. Can't tell without looking close that it's not stock.
7) They will be one bolt hole on the Serpentine AC bracket that doesn't match up to a threaded hole on the passenger side cylinder head. The instructions say just to ignore installing this bolt.
8) I replaced the crank pulley and alternator pulley that came with the GM kit with March underdrive billet aluminum pulleys. I thought the stock kit pulley would just spin the pumps and alternator too fast.
9) To mate the Serpentine kit alternator to the stock harness you'll probably need an adaptor harness. (see Lectric Limited catalog) It's not expensive. If you have 68, you'll definately need the adapter harness.
