'77 L48 Cam recommendation
Well, if you've read my other thread I have to replace my harmonic balancer. It also appears as if the harmonic balancer has gotten into the timing cover so I'm going to replace it as well. Since I will be that far into it, I'm seriously considering upgrading the cam...
My ultimate goal is to build the engine to between 300 and 350 hp. I don't want to do heads right now (but wish I could!).
I've got the true dual exhaust kit w/patriot headers from corvette central, new accel distributor with a more aggressive advance curve and high voltage coil, and a rebuilt carb with slightly larger jets. Engine was overhauled 7 years ago (about 1,000 miles - yes the car has hardly been driven since) to stock specs (before my time) and has solid 160 psi compression in all cylinders.
I plan on doing heads, intake, pistons, and oil pump eventually, but not this year and most likely not next. Is there a cam that would work with the set up I have that I could keep with the other mods listed?

you have conflicting needs at this time. sort out what you eventually want and pick a cam for that and put it in then!!!!!!!!. pick your parts first and then ask the knowledgeable people (not me)
