I am trying to install an original radio in my 1882 corvette. I removed the side carpet panels and the two screws on the bottom of the gauge bezel where it meets the center console. I also removed the screws on the sides and top of the gauge bezel but it will only move slightly. Am I missing something still holding the gauge bezel. I don't want to break the plastic bezel

Are there any nuts on the existing radio *****?
And it is a tight fit. I usually loosen the console plate too. Couple extra screws but worth it. Stuff is brittle.
There currently is no radio in the gauge bezel. There was an aftermarket radio in place but I removed it easily and since it was much smaller I was able to slide it out the side

2 screws underneath housing by A/C controls
1 nut on each shaft of factory radio or nothing if Din style is installed
Start at top of console and pull out becareful and watch for light socket and disconnect wires, then pull sides and becareful of the guage housing doen't snag dash vinyl, then it should come right out
