Default Cam change?

I'm thinking of changing out the cam on my small block 1975 C-3. Does the engine need to come out or can I pull the radiator and do the job. Thanks

Rad. has to come out and a/c condenser moved forward if a/c car--. Tight fit just know you may have to move some stuff forward.

Rio68 pretty much summed it up.. no matter what way you look at it will be a PITA.. its a vette. If you're willing to take engine out, prolly a good time to take it completely down. It would definitely tell you if there's work needed to be done.

If your installing a performance cam I would suggest degreeing it in just to take out the fudge factor. And in the car its hard thing to do.

With engine in car - I threw mine in "straight up" - runs flawlessly

Its just that this question comes up a lot and there is tons of information all over the site already. People kinda expect everyone to search as much as possible and then ask questions on what they dont understand.

I did the same just installed a comp cam, intake, runs like a charm , but if you remove the hood life gets easier, rad, fan, water, timing cover, gears and chain, and be carefull not to damage the cam bearings ,Ron
