Default 76 drivers window

my 76 drivers side window works moest of the time but when it starts acting up its weird its like it jumps the track or something you pull up on it alittle and it will go it just acted up i helped it up know i noticed a big strach no gouge rihgt in the center of the window from top to bottom??

To get a clear understanding of what is going on I suggest you remove the door trim panel and study the mounting bolts for the run channels and the regulator for 'slop'.

There are guides within those run channels attatched to the glass that assist with 'guiding' the glass to the top. A gouge or scratch will be caused by something impeding the travel.

Look for old marks of where the bolts should be and start there. Also observe the rub pads that assist with the positioning of the glass. Those rub pads have been responsible for many scratched door glasses. Remove and clean or replace if worn.

There are many good manuals that will assist with adjusting and lubricating a door glass assembly. Good luck.
