Loose 4sp shifter
How do you tighten these things. Both bolts holding the shifter into the mount are loose!
I can't put a socket on the top of the bolt and an open end wrench doesn't even touch the bolt head.
That's the front bolt. The back bolt is closed in, next to the transmission tail and yoke and is on
top of the emergency brake pulley. I've lost third and the shifter can be wiggled around with ease.
What to do :confused:

If you disco the rods from the tranny, you can move the shifter arms enough to get a 1/4 in drive ratchet and 15mm socket on the front and middle one. I was able to get a box end wrench on the back one, you have to go from the front and feed it back. Its a real pain but it can be done lou
