ticking sound
Hi all. new here. I have an 81 that I havent driven in a few years although I start it once in a while. When I turn the key to the on position I hear a loud ticking like a clock (very loud) . there is an electrical component just to the right of the brake booster ( right being toward the passenger side) that the sound seems to be coming from. From what i can find is that a egr relay? if so is this part available through GM or any place else? Car runs but it shouldnt be ticking. Could it be something else? any help appreciated.
