i had bought this big block back in 2000, with hardly any parts on it, so needless to say all the searching and collecting took me awhile to get this together! now im trying to identify everything in this engine, and put it together right this time, LOL.

first off, can someone please help me identify these pistons? they are 60 overbore's:

thanks for the help!

Thats a Silvalite/Federal Mogal cast piston that is made to fit either bank of the block, reduced dome CC than stock but they called it stock replacement but really was less comprestion than stock depending on what cc heads you have. They will fit either closed or open chamber heads but down about 8.5 comprestion on most open chamber heads(119cc about 9.5 with the small closed chamber head.106cc. Really no hot rod piston there.

Thanks for the reply! So would these be worth a dern being used with a blower or turbo setup due to the low compression ratio?

Not on a cast piston. You want forged for boosted or nitrous motors.

Ok. I've got a set of aluminum open chamber heads with 119cc's I believe.. What forged piston would you recommend to use? My plans for the car are to have a hot running street car, that may see the track occasionally..
