Early model T tops
78-82 tops seem to be fairly scarce & expensive,maybe because everyboby that bought vettes,took the glass tops option,& few fibreglass tops were made.Has anyone obtained pre-78 tops & modified them to fit on 78 & above cars?

I've got mirrored glass tops on mine and a friend has fiberglass tops on his '74 and as far as I can tell, his will fit mine and mine will fit his. The latches may be a bit different, but I think the nubs line up properly. I'll check it out the next time I see him. Are you looking for painted tops for your '79?

Thanks twotone82,I not to worried about the paint,as I will have to paint to match anyway,I have just seen a lot more early tops for sale & was interested to know if they can be modified to fit,I would assume the gasket is the same,not sure if the liner can be modified.
