Default Exhaust manifold

My passenger side exhaust manifold is leaking at the donut. Can you change the donute without pulling the manifold from the head?

Sure.

Just unbolt the pipe from the manifold (three studs). As long as the studs don't snap off in the manifold, you won't need to pull it off.

Just make sure you prep the studs first....soak em, heat them up, rap them with a hammer, etc.

I agree but they will break 80% of the time. A muffler shop can get them to the right shade of red and get the old ones out. Then in with the new and the donut. Not expensive. I would not fool with this at home. I tried once...and...you'll love the sound "crack".

I have my exhaust manifolds off in preparation for pulling the engine. I went out and pushed down on them, and my downpipes don't have enough movement to pull out the doughnuts.

I wound up pulling the manifold. There is no way it was clearing the stubs. My car is a frame off and I had the motor out 2 years ago so no issues with frozen bolts
