DASH & SPEEDOMETER ????

DASH & SPEEDOMETER ????
I have just replaced my entire dash and have everything back together. The only thing left to do is reinstall the driver's seat. The problem is that of all things the speedometer did NOT get connected. A friend of mine was helping me, I connected the tach I went to answer the phone and thought my friend had connected the speedometer! Anyway I can not seem to reach the cable from underneath the dash. Can I just remove the driver's side dash pad and reach the cable or does everything need to be disassembled?

remove the center console...I did...you can reach back there fine.
there is also an elbow piece you can get that helps relieve that 90 degree bend in the cable where it connects to the speedo.
