79 Glove Box Knob Removal

Removal is pretty easy. You'll need to remove the door lock cylinder..
I have a picture of how to do this.. but for some reason I can't find it... I'll post it later tonight or link to another one.
And then.. if you go to this help page on dash pads you'll see how the actual door comes loose from the metal backing for painting.

I feel sure that you can still get the cylinder out. You'll have to pick each tumbler as it comes out, but I think it's do-able. If not, then you'll have to drill out the center of the cylinder to remove it.

I think your right Ernie,one tumbler at a time. I know I have removed them without a key and I dont remember drilling them.

Seems I did that trick a long time ago.. just wasn't sure if it was on a Corvette Cylinder or my old truck.. (used the same method).
