Default Coil Spring Install

Piece of cake in less than 1/2 hour. Set spring in frame and compress using BRANICK MODEL SCT-520 SPRING COMPRESSOR. Place floor jack under lower a-arm and use 2x4 to guide bottom spring into lower a-arm. Attach lower spindel and then jack up lower a-arm and attach upper a-arm.

The Branick compressor made all the difference in the world. Just ran it through the shock hole at the top of the mount. Why is it always so suprising when something is easy on these cars???

I second the recommendation to safety strap the spring. Met a guy years ago that was living proof of what can happen if it gets loose. He was prying a spring out of the A-arm pocket and thought the pressure had been released. When it popped out, took out his front teeth and put a hole in the concrete block wall. Ouch.
