Default Is It OK Yet?

Been around for a while now so thought I'd ask if opinions of modified vettes have changed.
Copped a lot of negative stuff early , so took my pic out of the sig.

If someone gave you flack about the body mods, thats not right. You keep the pic in your sig and just think of the naysayers as envious.

Agreed. Externally, my '77 was completely stock. Being early production, it had no fender badges, so I ordered some. However, they had posts and I had no template to know where to mount them. Instead I cut the posts and stuck them on the B-pillar, behind the side windows. It was kind of a statement that said, "yeah, she's stock, but I'm not afraid to modify her." I got a lot of compliments on that mild mod, but I did have an old man sneer at me over it once. I laughed.

Well, since her front clip was destroyed by a pickup 2 weeks ago, the replacement will be a Monza tilt front end wrapped around a 454. So don't sweat it, you will be in good company at the car show. Enjoy your ride. If anyone gives you crap, remind them it's YOUR ride. :flag

Jarmo,
I used to have a red vette with similar mods. I sold the car to someone who did not take care of the car and eventually it was involved in an accident during a rainstorm. You have stirred my memories. Maybe next time that I journey to the land from down under, I can get a first hand glance at your car. I am only few hours from Australia. I also have to tell you that I too am on the list of envious people. It sure looks beauuutifullll!!!!  :flag

Personally I like the stock look....but hey...it's your car. Don't worry 'bout what others think....if you like it...go for it.

Oops...I'm not stock...I have the "wrong" rims. Oh well....

Besides, it looks like you could hide some awesome tires under those fenders!!

 Oh my God, what a piece of crap...How could you do that to such a great car.....

Ok! do you feel better now??? Somebody had to give you hard time...

BTW i think it looks cool. if every vette looked stock then it would get boring.
I say keep it in the sig
