Rear Tire Size?
Hey guys, What's the fattest rear tire that will fit into a 79 Vette without mods and also fit the stock rim? Will 50's fit? Thanks. :D

Most all C3's will clear a 255 width tire in back some will some won't in front however.

With oversized tires, beware of the ebrake bracket on the trailing arm and interference with long spring bolts and spring ends.

With stock TA's, mine have 255/60R15's on the rear. No prob.

I got away with 275-60's with the stock rims but had to remove the emergency brake mounting bracket on the trailing arm.

I'm running 265/60 X 15 X 8 Radial T/As on some "old" Western Wheels in the rear and 215s up front.
