This first warm weather has reminded me that my heat shields are missing. I mean the foam / foil insulation for tunnel and trans foam collar and frame rail heat shields. I tried to order from Dr Rebuild but they are out and have a couple of month back order. I need theese now, any ideas?
Chris: Your response is a little vague. Do you have these parts? Do you know where to get them? Does your shop sell them? Get back to me please. It is getting hot out here!

Read the whole thread (the link he just posted).e Chris's response basicaly says to just get a roll and cut the insulation yourself and not to waste your time with the original stuff.
We'll sell you an Ecklers kit, but I think the BEST solution is to get a roll and cut yourself. If you read that other thread you'll see basically everyone agrees you are wasting your time with a "kit" and you'll regret it.
By the messages that I am recieving, there is a misunderstanding. I don't need something under my carpet! If you look at a Dr Rebuild ad, you will see "Heat Shields". One is a foil / insulation for the tunnel console and the other two are a collar for the trans and the last is heat shields for the frame rails. I don't need heat barrier now, later maybe. I hope this helps. Summer is almost here and the heat is coming. Any help out there?
If you order through ZIP and enter in the coupon code for the Corvette Forum, you get a 5% discount. I know it isn't much but it will usually just about offset shipping charges. Click the Restoration Store tab and it will take you to Zip's online catalog.
