Default 4-post lift failure.... Now I wait.

I submitted the list of damages my cars and house to Gemini and Lifts Unlimited last Friday. I called Gemini to confirm that they received it this morning and they did. Now I'm waiting for them to work with their liability insurance company about getting me my settlement.

Now's when we see how good their word is....

I have been folllowing this real closely, as I have a 4 post lift a (GM 7000). Do you or anyone out there know how many manufacturers of the lifts are in Texas? I have a suspicion that they are made by the same company and they hang different names on the lifts for the distributors. Roger L. Gibbons

I can't say for sure. Yeah, a lot are built in Texas and some are built in Kansas. My guess is there are probably 3 or 4 manufacturers for all the lifts in the country. I know my Perfect Park was built by Gemini Auto Lifts, who also make the Superior and Gemini. Someone mentioned that Gemini sells their own lift under another name as well. I visited their plant and will say that they build maybe 4 different residential (cable) lifts, and a couple of commercial (chain) lifts.

A word of advise, say as little as you can to both insurance companies, I know how these weasels work they try and pin this thing on you and you should only be dealing with your insurance company at your insurance companies option they can deal with the lift companies insurance Dont get caught in the middle.Good Luck

OK.... I week has past and not much has happend.

Gemini submitted the claim to their local broker, who has in turn forwarded it to the insuring company. I feel like I'm waiting for slugs to mate.

Nonetheless, the 96 is going into the shop monday for a new hood and paint work. I'm tired of waiting. If anybody gives me a hard time about the car not being damaged anymore, I'll have a lawyer try to change somebody's mind. I might also see how many members here might be willing to call Gemini for a chat... :D

Stay tuned.

Sorry to hear that. Probably good that you posted that information here. Trust me, all these guys are reading these posts....

The lastest is that Crawford Associates in California has forwarded my claim to their local Maryland office. That's step number five! You wonder why your insurance rates are so high... You know every one of these stops has a cost associated with it. As least things are (supposedly) with someone in the same state...
