I unbolted the driver side, took it out, and replaced both the inner and outer joints (I just noticed the other thread... I used non-greaseable Bruteforce). Then I unbolted the other side. It won't come out.
My dad and I pulled on that !@#$er for an hour, and it won't budge. Is there something I'm missing here? The driver side just slid right out.
You have the joints disconnected and still can't get the 1/2 shaft out? Are you sure you have all the bolts out? Did you try tapping it with a mallet?
Gary
No, on the passenger side, I don't have the joints out. I took all of the bolts out of the shaft, and that end came out. But it won't pull out; it feels like there is something locking it in.
I guess I'll just tap on it and pull some more tomorrow morning!
Jerry, did you turn the strut rod cams to force the trailing arms outwards? This should do the trick. Mark the position of the strut rod cams so that you can return them to their position for correct alignment. LOL jamie
