My '69 coup has original lap belts that dont work at all. The belts are frayed and the buckles dont clip. So its time to upgrade i want to put in shoulder belts but dont know whare to bolt up the shoulder section and also wonder it there is anything that i can pull from a junk yard that would bolt up at least on the floor side of the set up. thanks in advance for yalls help.
The mounting hole is already in the rear for the shoulder mount bolt. There is a nut plate rivited to the vertical wall of the fenderwell. If you pull the carpet out of the way, you will see a plastic plug in the bolt hole.
As for the belts, a rear seat set from a gen. 4 camaro or firebird is the common bolt in salvage yard swap. Do a search here for seat belts and you will have hours of reading.

Try your search just in the C3 tech section. You should find quite a few posts on the subject
I have put the gen 4 belts in my 76. I got a set of belts from a firebird since that was the only car that came with black belts. I suggest getting something to keep the belts up on your shoulder. I installed a set of belt loops from a 3rd gen camaro onto the side of my 80 style seats. It keeps the belt from slipping off of your shoulder or just being in the wrong position to properly restrain you in a crash. Those loops are gray right now, but I will be dying them shortly.
In my 73, I have a 5 point harness mounted on the vertical bulkhead behind the seat. A racing style seat will be going in next. Of course I only use that car to autocross with.
