You will love this upgrade! I put mine behind the drivers side gill vent for easy access (a great option for our years, my MSD box is in the passenger gill vent) and it's basically hidden.

Its pretty much a hydra boost that uses a eletric motor instead of the power steering pump.
I dont have power steering so no power steering pump.
Also there is just a master cylinder NO vac booster or hydra booster you can hide the pump and accumilator makes a nice clean installation .
what is its benefit over hydro-boost? Unless yo are not putting out any vacuum why would you need it? the stock booster and brakes can more then lock up the tires as is.
Why do some people change to hydra boost because the stock vac system is not enough for them.
In my case I have manual brakes and steering so no hydra boost and installing that big vac booster in a manual brake car is not a easy thing.
So I found this eletric booster easier and cleaner in my case plus 1800 to 2000ish psi should stop the car pretty good.

Yup, it should-that's about the same capabilities as a stock brake system. Be aware that all four wheels will be locked up hard with far less pressure, just like the stock system.

Trust me they're not that touchy. I've never locked mine up un-intentionally. I have a big cam/low vacuum 555 cu in motor and the PowerBrake booster gives stable pedal pressure at any rpm or situation that I've seen. I would do this upgrade again in a heart beat. I'm in the process of installing Wilwood 13" brakes (6P front/4P rear) right now to take it to the next level.
It really cleans up the engine bay too with the booster gone. I was also able to use a valve cover that didnt have a dimple for the vacuum booster to clear. Since I don't have power steering a single belt serpentine system from MillerSpeed keeps it very simple and clean looking. It's a personal choice but I love it.
