Not off topic or anything, but I went to Tabb High School, also. Graduated in '92. I drove a little red 1978 Honda Civic that had so much stereo that I killed the alternator every 6 months. And it was so light that 4 of my friends picked it up so I couldn't drive away.
More on the topic...love the car. I have some projects before the big projects, but have the master plan of flaring my car. This is a great direction. I love the body-color front bumper, the shaved rears, and several other elements of it. I'll probably stay a little more traditional with other parts of the deal, but this is a really neat car. You should be proud.

thanks just found a Merchants tire store that can handle low cars for 4 wheel alignment. You drive onto to it which is flush with the floor then pops up for the alignment.

With your skills, just align it yourself. It requires minimal tools and a bit of patience, but it isn't bad at all. I have a toe gauge and a smart camber, but you can do it with string and a phone app. Rear thrust angle can be done with a laser level, jack stand, and piece of cardboard. The last place I enquired about an alignment, the guy went and got his box of shims and GAVE them to me. He said we won't do them any more.

Neil I am all ears. I have the front toe at zero and can figure out the camber for front and rear. I am trying to find a way to make sure the rear toe is correct ie balanced on both sides. I am about a 1/4inch off from zero. I sent you a pm as I am all ears. I was taking it this weekend and again it is going to rain.

Set the rear toe where you want it by shimming the trailing arms. Then put a straight edge on the outside of the rear tire and point a laser at the front of the car. Tape a piece of cardboard to a jack stand and butt the cardboard up against the dust cap on the front spindle. Mark the laser spot on the cardboard. Repeat on the other side of the car with the same piece of cardboard with the same side facing the spindle. Mark that laser spot. If the 2 laser spots are the same distance from each spindle, your thrust angle is correct. Since your total rear toe is already set, you can now adjust your shims equally on each side to correct your thrust angle. It'll take time and patience, but doing it yourself is a way better option than having a tire shop monkey with your freshly restored car. There's a video online showing a similar method but with string against the rear brake rotor instead of a laser.

Also, set your camber first as it will throw the toe setting off.
