Thanks again guys
Nick- I dont think I can afford to have someone do it in CF, but if you are looking to produce a few I would help you out with the mold. We can talk at NJMP.
Havent had it up to speed yet, we will see what happens when I take it to the track this spring.

I suspect you may well need to add a spoiler out back to balance it at speed, so I'd suggest proceeding with caution until you know. Believe me (I've lost a couple of rear wings), aero oversteer isn't something you want.

Im no aero expert, but can I compensate for the areo oversteer by setting up the suspension to understeer?
Also, what kind of rear spoiler would balance this out? Ive never seen any rear spoilers on the old racecars, even though that doesnt necessarily mean they didnt need them.
Ive been planning on making some kind of rear diffuser, but nothing too extreme- Mainly something to get rid of the parachute effect created by the rear bodywork. I think any downforce created by that would be negligible

If the pressure differential (∆P) beneath the nose (relative to above it) is reduced by more than the ∆P at the rear, whether you only reduce lift or actually create downforce the aero balance will change. While mechanical grip is the primary factor at lower speeds, at higher speeds aerodynamics becomes the first order factor in balance. It's not a night-and-day thing, and you might can compensate to a point in the gray area between the two dynamics, but such a crutch isn't likely to go very far, and IMCO very much low speed understeer isn't going to be much fun.
I've seen a couple of nice custom spoilers for early C3's, but not aware of one off the shelf. Yes, a rear diffuser would help evacuate air under the rear better, but not sure if one can be designed efficently enough with street clearance in mind to offset having no rear spoiler.

This not a windtunnel tested product, but a nice weekend project to keep his hands occupied...

Drifting
Diffuser...So that is what that is. I saw this on an 81 side pipes I think it is, at a car show few months back. Look close and you can see it hanging off the back underside.
