I just let my subscription to Corvette Fever expire.... really just to try something different, so now I am getting Vette and C+P Corvette. Latest issue of Vette was a bit... I dunno, it only took me 5 minutes. Still like C+P the best, but they take twice as long to put each magazine together. MJ
I'm letting my subscription of CF die, and going for the more generic mags. I'm currently subscribing to CHP, Hot Rod, Car Craft, and I think I'm gonna try Super Chevy now.
IMHO, Vette and CF are way too lean in the info department. Very weak and superficial articles. The key for me is once I look at a Vette or CF, I never pick it up again. Chevy HP & Super Chevy are by far the most comprehensive mags for me and I find myself referring back to find specific articles or just re-reading after six months or so. It helps that I like ALL Chevy musclecars. If I was dedicated to Corvettes only, I would still be searching for a good magazine.
this will probably make a few people :mad but i'm going to say it anyway. i'm getting tired of both vette and CF because there is so much focus on 'perfectly' restored cars. i think CF is worse about this than vette but it seems anything older than '84 has to be a <10k survivor or a >$20k restoration. or you just get a little blurb and grainy photo in their readers rides selection. i've got back issues going back to the early '90s and i've seen some of the same cars in both of them two or three times.
i'd like to see a bit more racing, you know, cars with character. and not necessarily the c5-r team but maybe a few of us regular guys pounding the curves on the road course or laying rubber at the local strip. even if not so much racing how about a couple of stories about people who've used their corvettes for daily transportation for the last 10 or 20 years? that might be interesting. just my .02 :)
That's why I like CHP. The other mags are for the Bloomington types who just like to enjoy the Corvette lifestyle. Those of us who enjoy it by working on our cars like to read the tech articles in CHP. Although they hardly ever talk about Corvettes directly, an SBC is an SBC whether it's in a Nova, Chevelle, or our Corvettes. :chevy

Yep, me too. I'll take CHP over any of the Vette specific mags.
I have to agree with what's been said so far. CF has lost it and Vette is catching up fast. CHP for their tech articles and their feature car articles are still a little light on info.
C&P Corvette is by far the best Vette Magazine out there. It is the only one I have found that dedicates an equal amount of articles to each generation of Vette.
