Default BB clutch spring question****and now some project update pics***

I am finally putting the beast back together and I am trying to figure out where to hook up the front of the clutch spring. It was hooked to the motor mount but with it in that position, it hits the header. Where are other people hooking it up??

Boy, I'm not sure on this but here goes nothing. I thought there was a bracket coming off the frame by the firewall, and then it hooked a hole on the top bar of the "Z" bar.

Pretty sure thats how mine is in my 75 454. I have headers and it fits fine.

The way mine is hooked up is the big return spring that hooks on the top of Z-Bar connects to a little hole on the bracket that the steering wheel column comes through on the fire wall.
Then I have 2 small springs on the clutch rod between the lower Z-Bar and the clutch fork that are anti rattle springs that connect through the 2 little holes on the clutch rod.

Thanks for the help. I am going to try and follow your advice. I see the hole in the upper part of the z-brace but now I noticed that the plate on the steering column is not copletely bolted up. It looks like it is on there by one rivit looking thing and is just flopping around. I will fix that and try and mount the spring to there. I see the hole on the lower brace but I don't see where it would go to ont the clutch fork?
