I'm getting ready to put some new skins on my 75. I want to keep with a white letter as I feel they were found on a lot of the c3's back in the day. I currently have a P235/60R15. I like the looks of the BF Goodrich Radial T/A. They fit the look of the car nicely. On the website for Goodrich they offer about 3 different price ranges from $140 down to $80. Speed rating is S for all of them which I believe is about 112 MPH. Does anybody run these tires and is there another nice white letter out there that would be good. As usual thanks for your inputs.

BFG Radial T/A is a POS tire and always has been. No wet traction, short life, and they get hard as a rock as they age. Eagles are a better tire, though I prefer the Bridgestone/Firestone Firehawk Indy series rubber myself. Great performance for a low speed rating, great looks, and they are widely available.
BTW the 235/60 is too small a tire. 255/60 is the correct one.

What is the difference between a 235 versus a 255. Is it height , width?
Basically, the 235 or 255 is width. To paraphrase tire rack - "It's the number millimeters across from the widest point of its outer sidewall to the widest point of its inner sidewall when mounted and measured on a specified width wheel."

...and on a 60 series tire, the sidewall is 60% of the tread width or .6 X 255mm for a sidewall width. So yes, the 255 is both wider and taller than the 235.
Goodyear Eagle GTIIs with 235/60/15s in front and 255/60/15s at the rear.
That is the combination I was looking for... I know I can get 235's and 255's in a BFGoodrich, but I can't seem to find any 235's at the Goodyear website... or anywhere for that matter.

Actually, the stock size tire for his car is actually a GR70X15 which translates to a 215/70/15. For 78-82, the standard tire was 225/70/15 and the optional tire was 255/60/15. Here is a reference chart for stock tires: https://93075438.domainhost.com/Hand...ls-tires-2.pdf
I personally run the 255/60/15 BF Goodrich radial T/A when I have my 15" wheels on my 76. I now run a 16" wheel.

By going with 235's in the front and 255's in the rear, do you notice any handling issues. I did find Firestone Firehawk's 255/60R15, 4 installed and balanced for $444 out the door. Whatdya think?

Hey Dave love that car, color and all is awesome. What are the wheels, they look like a Cragar but I'm not sure. Let me know where to get those puppies. Thanks alot.
im glad your at least sticking to 15inch rims with big rubber. everyone is joing the big wheel bandwagon so they have better tire selection but i will never march to that drum.... if i wanted too i would go buy a modern car....actually come to think of it even my toyota has big rubber with 15 inch rims.they were designed to use this sizing so thats the way im going to keep it.lots carry on about "oh it handles so much better bla bla bla"....but its a 30 year old chev not a bloody porsche.
here is a pic of my 71 cam with indys and i have to say im impressed with them alot. my vet has bf goodrich but ill prob go indys on it next time as well as i think they hook up better.

I have P-235/R7015 B F Goodrich Radial T/A white letter tires all the way around. They feel good, but the S speed rating is probably 32 miles faster than I normally travel, LOL Have a great day. Gene

I'm running BFG 255/60-15 T/As. They do an excellent job of keeping the frame from rubbing on the ground. (Pretty much the same as the rest of the 15" tires available nowadays.) If you want a stock look for the street you're limited on your options.
