I need a Part Number - PLEASE
Can anyone tell me what the correct GM part number is for a '72 454 ( LS5 ), and where I can find this kind of info in the future. I have a balancer that is GM# 10216339. I think this is for an LS6 and LS7, but not sure it is correct for an LS5.
I have an AIM, but the engine is not detailed to this level in the AIM.

According to an old parts book I have there was only one balancer for all big blocks in 1972. The book is dated 1983 and the part number back then was 3963529 but the part number has probably changed a couple of times since then.

Checked that part number at http://www.gmpartsdirect.com and all it say is that it is a crankshaft ballancer but does not say what engine. By the way, their price is $101.71.
