mine wouldnt release on the pass side. after i got it to release i found everything intack i noticed the plastic holding the cable running between latches was split and the wire had worked it way thru the split
. when the release was pulled the wire just popped thru.
couple months later buddy up street ran into the same problem.
something fellow members should check next time u pop the hood.

Once you get the hood open, this post shows how to fabricate a "just-in-case" release. Which reminds me, I intend to make one of these.
