71 vette dead battery
i just purchased a 71 454 corvette at Mecum and it had a dead battery, I just replaced it with a new one and it too died after sitting 1 week. Can anyone point me in a direction? I live in connecticut and its cold but it is also garaged.

Could be a number of things. Eg. my '68 used to drain the battery very quickly if wiper override switch was left in ON position. Anyhow, the easy solution would be buying battery cut off switch for a couple of bucks and disconnecting it every time you get back to your garage. Afterwards you could start looking for a cause of this issue.

If the car has a non-OEM audio system, that may also be the cause of power drain from the battery.
I agree with the previous post. Install a knife switch battery cutoff and use it to disconnect the battery when parking it in your garage for a few days without driving it. It's a small annoyance to reset the clock.
