Default Bird cage trim finish

On the surfaces visible with the T-tops removed the top of the windsheild and such appear to painted black with chrome/stainless showing thru. What should it be or what was it orginally? This is an 77 coupe. Thanks Jim.

The actual bird cage does not show. You should be seeing trim panels color coded to the interior. In your case, black if you have a black interior. Stainless should be visible in the areas which the trim panels do not cover (windshield header, upper surface of the t-bar). Exterior windshield trim on the 77s is painted semi-flat black.

Here's 68 bright blue; 77 would be similar:

Ok Easy Mike, that clears it up for me. The outside windshield trim is still black. The top of the windshield where the weatherstrip of the t-top may have be sprayed black by a previous owner. Thanks
