Steering Control Valve rebuild done!
I read everything I could get my hands on about rebuilding the valve. I even printed and made a book out of a write up with pics. But today after church I jacked it up, put it on stands and pulled the outer half of the control valve. An hour later I had it back on and it is working perfectly with no leaks!! Before the rebuild the ball was leaking where the fluid was bypassing the seal. I never even referenced the stuff I printed. I made sure to keep everything exactly the way it came out before I replaced the parts in the kit. Man was there some crud inside of it! Especially on the small spring..The cup seals were not sealing properly. I just wanted to post this so the job may not be intimidating to anyone that needs to rebuild thiers. It is easy to reach with the wheel off, no need to even lay under the car. And the rebuild was WAY cheaper than buying a new one.

Have not had to touch my control valve since it does not leak BUT this weekend the seal on the front of the power steering pump started to leak pretty good. I bought a seal kit for the power steering pump since you cannot get new pumps any more that I could find for our cars-only remanufactured ones so I am going to change the o ring seals and the shaft seal my self to preserve the OEM pump-Looks fairly simple-$10 for the kit.
