Hi Everyone. Need a little help on the Courtesy lights. Using the forum I have determined that the Courtesy Light Timer for my 1980 is just missing which would expain why I do not have any lights. I jumped the two white wires on the plug and now I have lights that just will not shut off. First question is how do you jump the wires to make the lights come on and off. Second question in addition to the plug with the two white wires which goes to the courtesy timer. I have two additional plugs that are not pluged in. The first has 4 wires with a brown, orange, orange and Grey wire. The second has 2 wires blue and black. Can anyone tell me what these are for both look to be female plugs. Thanks in advance for your help.

This is not an issue of the just jumping the wires to make the lights go off. I suspect that the po remove the timer as the easy way to solve the problem.
You should first check your door jamb switches to make sure they are functioning properly.
