T-top
Does anyone know what the electrical switch on the passenger side t - top, where the back pin engages?

Starting around March 78, alarm switches were incorporated into both the left and right, rear t-top receivers. From then on, all 78-82 Corvettes had the t-tops tied into the alarm system.

Hmmm, that is a new one. Guess they skipped mine. Do the wires run up the side and is this switch something you can order, never seen one before.

It started @ vin 25281 (regular production) and vin 04658 (limited edition) and all 79's.
You can test it by setting the alarm. (windows down) and then try to unlatch the t-tops. Alarm should sound.

I really appreciate this, now I have to go fix my alarm system and get that working. Damn, and I thought I had everything working. I love more projects!

Yeah me too... in removing everything in prep. for paint i found that switch..PO installed a python alarm sys. dont' know if the t-top switch works

Only problem with the alarm activation of T-tops once you pull the handle down alarm goes off but thief is already running down the street with t-top

I have to be a dummy - what factory alarm. Never ran across it on my 82 is 16 years of ownership.
