Windshield washers and Mobil 1
I have an L82 in a '79 with 9K original miles. I'm getting it ready for NCRS and noted that the windshield washer doesn't work - except when you ground the appropriate wire on the motor itself. I located the control "module" in the console but my shop manual doesn't give me a schematic. I suspect a transistor has gone open. Has anyone else had this problem - wipers fire up fine but the washer motor never comes up? I have the delayed wiper option. Any assistance would be most helpful.
I converted this '79 to Mobil 1 last year. Nothing seems to leak except the oil filler cap. Any mods or suggestions? It seeps all over the valve covers and looks nasty. Otherwise I feel the engine is broken in and if Mobil 1 is good enough for C4s and C5s then it's good enough for my C3.

I did note that the "spring" was a brass shim-type washer with a fiber gasket. I bent the outside edges of the brass downward and the cap fit a lot tighter. Hope this works. Thanks,
