Default lower control arm bushings

I am replacing the upper and lower control arm bushings. The upper bushings went smooth however the lower bushings do not want to come out. I have a hydraulic Press and made a spacer to go between the ears of the control arm so it will not smash but the bushings will not budge. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I had the exact smae issue-uppers were easy and put in poly replacements. Could not budge the lower control arm bushings so I just brought them to a machine shop and he did both for 25 dollars and installed the new poly's in about 20 minutes. Well worth the $25!

Thanks for the suggestions but I tried all the easy things already. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. Next come out the torches.

Once you have the rubber drilled out with ahole saw, then saw thru the pressed bushing lengthwise with a thin sawzall blade and you can knock it loose with a punch without damaging the arm.
Carefull not to saw into the arm itself.

Use the torch, I use the heat early. Some smoke and smell, but hot rubber is slippery.
